Here are copies of the poster and post card that were sent to your churches.  Some ideas for the below could be power point presentations for your youth classes or other congregational gatherings, inserts in your bulletins, weekly handouts, etc.  However you decide to use these is up to you, we just want to provide the best possible marketing strategy for reaching more kids in Northwestern Ohio.

2010 Handbook
This is the book that the REGION puts out each year.  The district rules and policies always follow suite.

BLAST Overview

The District BLAST Program (Building Leaders and Sharing Talents) is guided by the rules and policies set forth by the regional BLAST event held at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Early June each year) .  The Regional NYI Council, made up of the Regional NYI President and the District Presidents from the 8 districts on the region, sponsors the event.  Students that participate in the District BLAST have the opportunity to share their God given talents in a competitive setting.  The top scoring participants are selected to represent the Northwestern Ohio district at the regional BLAST.  Also, students experience leadership training that is designed to strengthen their relationship with Christ, challenging each one to be His leaders in their church and community.

Purposes

1.      To build leadership trends among high school students.

2.      To promote the use of talents and gifts in local churches and communities.

3.      To give valuable feedback to students as they develop their gifts.

4.      To fellowship with Nazarenes across the district.

5.      To select the representatives from our district that will represent us at the Regional BLAST event held at MVNU.

Leadership

The event is coordinated by the DNYI Council appointed BLAST Director whose responsibilities include coordinating the District Talent and serving as the regional clearing point for the registration/housing process for the district's involvement in the regional event.  Due to the size of this event there is also a District Sports Coordinator.  Both the District director/talent coordinator and sports coordinator are voting members of the DNYI Council by virtue of his/her appointment and maintains accountability to this committee and the District President.
