Quizzing
The
District Quizzing Program is Bible study at its finest with the main
goal being the study of God's Word. Bible quizzing in this form is
also Christian competition. The quizzer competes for personal
improvement and to advance one's knowledge of God's Kingdom. Bible
quizzing is also fellowship as events set the stage for Christian
interaction and social activities. Finally, the quizzing program helps
make Christian Disciples as its true value is seeing teens become
disciples of Jesus Christ.
Each year at District NYI Convention, local youth groups are eligible for three awards given out by the district; the Honor NYI Award, the NYI Excellence Award, and the NYI of the Year Awards. These awards are intended to give local groups a basic framework of what an active local Youth Ministry might look like. The first two awards are given out to any churches who meet the requirements, and the third award is reserved to a single group who meets the requirements and is recommended for award by the District NYI Council.

Youth Worker Networking
One of the values on the Northwestern Ohio District is having a strong network of Youth Workers and Youth Pastors. We feel that keeping this group in close contact has multiple benefits including learning from one another, bouncing ideas back and forth, collaboration in ministry, and much more. Hence we attempt to set up a quarterly meeting to discuss different topics pertaining to Youth Ministry. Although geared toward Adult Youth Workers, anyone is welcome.
